I Volunteer for Karachi (Do a good turn daily)

For the messenger of peace activity, I Rizwan Ali Khawaja planned a project I Volunteer for Karachi for my scouts in Darkhana Boy Scouts Unit with the message “Do a good turn daily” . we identified some common problems in underprivileged and government schools located in or nearby community. we are focusing on these schools. Darkhana Boy Scouts Unit Identified following problems, mostly children who belong to families with low socioeconomic status study in underprivileged or government schools that have limited facilities /team to work for development of different potential skills in students.

To work on these problems we have decided to deal this in three aspects that we will cover. Firstly, to keep students interested in learning new things we will teach them a skill that can be making a handicraft, performing arts, communication skills, etc. The second aspect is to teach students basic life saving skills or some first aid skills (chocking, dog bite, stop bleeding and what they can do in emergency situations like in earthquake or in fire situations). Third part of that activity will be motivational session or telling them inspirational story and making them believe that they can bring change in their life by doing good deed daily and whatever they learn they should teach others as well.

Since, this activity is comprised of 3 different aspects that can be covered in a day. We will conduct these three aspects with new modifications or by adding some new activities every week for three consecutive months. This plan can be carried further even after three months by recruiting more volunteers and collaborating with more schools.
