International Rover Week Centenary Edition Summer 2018 is an event hosted by Kandersteg International Scout Centre for celebrating 100 years of Rover scouting. The event is organised in partnership with WOSM and the Messenger of Peace Programme. This Summer, Kandersteg International Scout Centre hosted 30 Rovers from all around the world for 10 days of Rover Programme filled with International Friendship, Eco Adventure and Exploration of the Alps.

UNESCO World Heritage Service Project is coordinated between Kandersteg International Scout Centre and UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungrau-Aletsch region, aimed to conservate the Swiss Alps through actions made by Scout and Rover groups.

The Rover Week participants and event coordinators spend their day in Gasterntal, Gfellalp and Lötschenpass, helping local farmers to clear Alps of rocks and other debris to allow restoration of the local habitants. In total, 264 Service Hours was achieved. We are grateful for the impact our participants had in our local environment.
