Bangladesh Scouts hold digital photography training for Rovers and young unit leaders
With the advent of social media as a new way of telling and sharing Scout stories, coupled with ground-breaking technologies about photography, a 3-day Basic Course for Digital Photography for Unit Leaders and Rovers was conducted by the Bangladesh Scouts at Dhaka, Bangladesh on March 22-24.
The course was attended by 30 rover scouts and unit leaders.
In a statement sent to the World Scout Bureau Asia-Pacific Support Centre, Mr. Sarwar Mohammad Shahriar, National Commissioner for Public Relations and Marketing of the Bangladesh Scouts said, ‘We seek to capacitate these unit leaders and rover scouts about digital photography. After this training, they are expected to contribute in different events and publications of the Bangladesh Scouts, including in digital marketing of Scouting through social media.’
The training covered areas of basic and advanced digital photography, as well as technical inputs and techniques from professional photographs in Bangladesh.
As of 2015 WOSM Census, Bangladesh Scouts has a total membership of 1,372,773.
