Scout Badge with Braille Reading

The Scout Base of Research and Environmental Education located in Goiás - Brazil, presents the Badge "The Bird" of the Environmental Education Program with Braille Reading.
We want our environmental program to reach all Scouts, even because accessibility and inclusion are evident themes in the Brazilian Scout Movement.
In this way, a search for technology capable of manufacturing the badges was started, however, after several surveys, we verified the impossibility of production on an industrial scale at least until the moment. We did not give up and we created a technique of adaptation that made possible the Reading Braille. In September 2017, Scout Pedro Paulo Lemes Alves took the test and approved the adapted prototype. Obviously, customized badges will only be provided to people who are blind.
Extensive research has been carried out and until now we are not aware of any other Badge with Braille Reading in Brazil and worldwide. Perhaps we can say that this is the first Braille Badge in the history of Scouting and we hope it will inspire others to be produced.
