 1st Malomalo District School

 1st RatuIlaisa Memorial School
 1st Nadiri Bay Khalsa Primary School
 1st Wai District School
 1st Nadromai

Troops arrived on Friday and pitched their tents at the allocated sites and got ready for the events of Saturday which was followed by a leaders meeting at 8.00pm. The schools that did not attend the rally were 1st Nadromai, 1st Nadiri Bay Khalsa Primary School and 1st Ratu Ilaisa Memorial School.

The activities started at 9.00am on Saturday which enriched the scouts with basic skills in first aid, knotting, marching, scout’s songs, scouts law and promise, message relay and were also given a commando course which ended by 12.00pm followed by lunch.

After lunch the scouts did community service and then the leaders took the scouts for the much anticipated hiking which was across country walk of 5 km organized by the host school. After hiking the scouts prepared the camp fire which was to be light in the afternoon. After the camp fire preparation we had a short rehearsal of the evenings programme. The scouts were then dispersed for the preparation for the items and to get ready for the main programme of the day “The Camp Fire”.

The formal programme started at 8.00pm and the Camp chief was Mr Surendra Sen, Head teacher Wai District School. It was a lively programme as the scouts had prepared their items on the theme which entertained the participants of the camp fire. Also Western Area Commissioner Mr Sheik Samsher Ali.

On Sunday the troops prepared to leave for the respective venues as the Christians had to attend their prayers. Before they left the scouts cleaned their campsites and did the necessary cleaning in the school compound.
RALLY HIGHLIGHTS

 The rally was organised at Wai District School in order to honour the services of Mr Sen to the Nadro West Scouts Council, who will be retiring in May.
 More Scouts participated in this rally in comparison to the previous one despite the week of Ram Naumi Celebrations.
 1st Batiri troop attended the rally with all female leaders.

AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT
Communication breakdown was an issue as a result some schools were not well informed as they did not attend the meetings prior to the rally. As such school heads are requested to disseminate the information to their leaders on time so that necessary preparations are done and there is a maximum participation in such a rally.

There is a need for leaders to be more committed as some did not turn up and did not respond in any way that they would not be present.

Some of the school heads did not take these activities seriously and did not send any leaders to attend any of the meetings which were conducted in regards to the rally preparations.
Overall the rally was well organized and the scouts enjoyed the activities during the rally which was made successful by the hard working leaders of the various schools.
