Indonesian Rovers: Together we have the power to protect the ocean

27. juin 2014

Indonesian Rovers flocked to the famous Ancol Beach and collected huge volume of garbage as their way of celebrating the “World Oceans Day” on 8th June 2014.

As Rovers shared how to take care of the oceans as part of their awareness campaign, other people in the beach were receptive and ended up joining them (Rovers) picking up the trash.

This year’s theme was "Together we have the power to protect the ocean" raising awareness and promoting personal and community action in fun and positive ways, leading to a more aware, engaged, and sustainable society, and a healthier ocean.

The event was officially recognized by the United Nations in 2008 and has been coordinated internationally by The Ocean Project and the World Ocean Network.
