2017 started for the National Scout Association of Moldova with brio, working intensely for a period of two days on the early stages of a program that will contribute to the formation of responsible citizens.
Thus, in the context of the strategic objectives of the National Association of Scouts of Moldova (NSAM) and the continuation of the action plan in developing the youth program was organized an introductory session work for a new team consisting of experts in the field of non-formal education and scout leaders, held January 27 to 28.
The session included detailed examination of the stages of development of curricula, study spheres of personal development within the Scout Movement, the character of the young citizen of Moldova tailored to the interests and needs of children and youth approaches to periodization development of physical-psychological childhood. All these issues were discussed in groups and together just for arriving at a common point in defining how scouting can provide fun, challenges, adventure through a Youth Program based on the underlying Scouting, designed to meet the needs of children and young of 21st century.
The team was formed of the experts in the sphere of psychology, health education, children's rights; scout leaders, representatives of Eurasia WSB Support Center (Iurie Emilian- Regional Director, Nikolai Akatov- Director of Strategic Planning and Internal Regulations, Doina Postica- Director of Youth Programme & Adult Resources) and executive board of the association. Given event is part of the Project "Messengers of Peace" "Scout Update".
During 2017 it is proposed to organize at least 6 working sessions for the Youth Program of NSAM, which includes several topics that will be discussed. Work continues and hopefully we get to see a model of progressive development in forming responsible citizens who will contribute to creating a better world and the words of Robert Baden-Powell.
