Dominican Scout Association Meeting With The Vice Minister Of Education

1. Jan 2013

On last October 30, representatives from the Dominican Scout Association (ASDI) met with Vice Minister of Education of the Dominican Republic, Minerva Vincent, and some of her staff members.

Miguel Fersobe (Executive Director of ASDI) and Ricado Rojas (National Scout Committee Member) organized the meeting in order to address the Vice Minister regarding a joint project to open Scout Groups in vulnerable zones of Santo Domingo (in total 6 groups in an equal number of educational centers). They also presented a report of the organization of School Camps for meritorious students where the ASDI, for the first time in history, is the contractor
“The meeting was a great success and also served to analyze new strategies for a broader work together between both, Ministry of Education and ASDI”, said Rafe Lucado (Inter American Scout Committee member) who also attended the meeting.
