Executive directors of the National Scout Organizations of Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala gathered at the World Scout Bureau - Interamerican Region, in the City of Knowledge in Panama to participate in the course "Best practices in NGOs" taught by Philippe Berberat, from SGS company. The course was held on March 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

This course, sponsored by the Messengers of Peace initiative, it was decided to give once SGS conducted three audits equal number of NSOs in our region. This audit is performed to evaluate various aspects of an NGO, SGS uses this instrument to help NGOs to improve their performance. The course was decided to deliver only for the National Scout Organizations in Central America, is considering to bring it to other parts of the Inter-American Region.
The World Scout Bureau - Central Office also attended by Saad Zian, World Director for Adults in Scouting. Saad colaborates worldwide in the development of a performance standard from the SGS one, that manages to incorporating elements of our organization.
On behalf of the World Scout Bureau - Interamerican Region were present José Gabriel Creole, Director of Institutional Development and Raul Sanchez Vaca, Regional Director. Also joined this interesting course, Rafe Lucado, Interamerican Scout Committee member.
