Independence Day Camp

The Kerala State Bharat Scouts & Guides,132nd Kairali Open Scout Group conducted Independence Day camp from 13th Aug 2016 to 15th Aug 2016 at District Headquarters, Aluva. 40 senior scouts,10 Rover scouts along with 5 staff members were participated. Camp was inaugurated by Mr. P.S Vijayakumar, Dist Secretary. The opening ceremony was followed by training sessions,games,group activities and the day was concluded with campfire.

On the 2nd day we organized a seminar about Anti Necrotic kerala, lead by Mr. M.P Ummar, CEO Excise circle office.
Adventure activities,which was inaugurated by Mr. Nivin Venugopal, RSL,Kairali Open Group were the most attractive element of this camp. At night after the campfire participants went to Mahatma Gandhi square,Aluva for celebrating 70th Independence Day of India at 12am. The participants paid respects to father of the nation. Independence day message were delivered by Circle Inspector of Police.

A debate about "Patriotism v/s Terrorism, were lead by Mr. Chinnan Painadath, President of Aluva Environment Protection Force, on 3rd day after the 'All faith prayer'.
The closing ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. V T Charley, District Commissioner(S).
"Santhwanam" a scheme for helping poor people in the society was inaugurated by Sri. P.A Joseph ALT(S). On his 46th year of active scouting, Mr. V T Charley, Group president as well as District Commissioner(S) was honoured .

The Camp was conducted successfully under the leadership of P.S Vijayakumar (Group Leader), Nivin Venugopal (RSL), Aneesh Asokan (ARSL) of Kairali open scout group.
