Seven Mini Coopers, a Harley Davidson motorbike, abseiling Explorer Scouts and a ‘coat of many badges’ were just some of the wonders that joined a cast of 3,000 on-stage at Saturday’s LIVE 07, Festival of Scouting in London.

Over 20,000 Scouts and their families joined one of the UK’s biggest ever casts at London’s cavernous O2 arena. Several years in the making, and with over 3,000 performers, the event lived up to expectations in every sense.

‘The opening was really cool,’ said Richard a Network member who made the trip to London’s O2 arena - formerly the Millennium Dome. The show started with a countdown in darkness before exploding into Right Here, Right Now - the Fatboy Slim hit that became an unofficial anthem during the summer’s 21st World Scout Jamboree.

What followed was an unforgettable night of celebration of music, dance and adventure showcasing all that is good about Scouting. Highlights included a 'stolen scarf adventure' culminating in Network members (18-25 age group) in seven Mini Coopers lining up - each with a different letter on their roof to spell ‘NETWORK' and a wildly popular Beaver rap from 6-8 year olds in hats and dark glasses!

The Live 07 event was one of the last major celebrations marking Scouting’s Centenary in the UK - it was the sound of a rejuvenated Movement looking forward to a second century of success.

Congratulations to the whole cast and crew and thanks to everyone who helped make it a success - including all those who made the trip to London.
