Project "SAMARTH- Part-III ( Introduction with care taker of orphan home named "Mothers Home")

On dated 23 Sept 2015 ranger Leader Dr. Kavita Katoch , Rover Leader Jyoti Charan and Rovers & Rangers of the college went to "Mothers Home" (Orphan Home). Our aim to see the mothers home were...
1. Interaction with the care taker and kids of the mothers home.
2. to see the condition of the home as well as kids.
3. To discuss with the care taker about his/her difficulties occurring in running the home(If any)
We reached sharp at 10AM at Mothers Home (Village-Gjan,near Haripur College)and met with its care taker Mrs. Sudarshana. In the starting hours of the day we really enjoyed with the kids of the home by dancing, singing etc but when we discussed with care taker & kids every heart was weeping by knowing the problems they all are facing. Tender hands which is supposed to hold the pencils and books to read were also busy to make handicraft items e.g. making socks, gloves and paper bags etc.and other little jobs so that they can earn little money for their home (It was also a first step to earn for life). The rooms were very dark, unhealthy, walls of every room needed paint, some rooms were filled with moisture as windows were blocked by the big Almira and fresh air for rooms were blocked and the clothes in the rooms were wet due to moisture. Rooms were very small and adjustment of the things needed. We spent apx. 5 hours at Mothers Home and came back to college at 3 PM.
