Monday Monday Monday - no better time to feel alive and productive... right? In case you need some inspiration, here's a message that we have been asked to share with you by some young people involved in a great project in Scouting Ireland. There are a number of different types of articles, so take a few minutes to relax today and have a 'click around'........ "Here in Ireland we've set up inSIght - some youth members came together, had the idea, and carried it out. We have established a blog with which all youth members can express their thoughts, opinions and feelings on almost anything at all, tied into scouting often in the vaguest way. This is because we want to show that scouting is a multi-faceted organisation, that there are so many more aspects to what we do other than pitch tents and tie knots. We have built this platform for ourselves so that we can take control of how we're portrayed and ensure that everyone inside and outside the organisation understands what we're about, what scouting is about. We want to break down stereotypes and misconceptions, and also have our say on important issues, be they within the organisation or external things (like the refugee crisis or the complexities of Disney Pixar's "Inside Out"). But this is a platform we are very much in the processing of building, and it's capable of going any where, the sky is the limit. So we have decided not to restrict submissions to just Irish members - we feel this idea sort of transcends location (not to get too ahead of ourselves!), and so we'd love to hear from global members of this incredible community that we love so much. Please send your thoughts, your words, your photographs, your paintings, your poems, your short films, whatever they may be, to scoutingblogblog@gmail.com. Our editor, Shane Morgan, will get back to you as quickly as possible and help ensure that your piece is of the highest possible standard. Hoping to hear from you all soon, inSIght"
