Forty Years and Beyond

Forty Years and Beyond is the history of Scouting in the Asia-Pacific Region, with highlights from the past four decades. A vivid documentation of the last four decades — the pioneering 50s, planning of the 60s, new direction of the 70s, growth of the 80s, and the far reaching 90s endowed with over 400 photos sealed in a 342-page hardbound book. It is an informative resource material for programme and training activities of Scouts.

JAMBOREE - what, who, where, when, why and how

First of its kind in the region, the guidebook is the product of long and in-depth research on organizing large scale Jamborees with facts and experiences drawn from world, regional and national Jamborees since 1920.
Why a Jamboree guidebook? It is essential to understand the origin, concept and objectives of a Jamboree in the midst of emerging technologies, evolving lifestyle of young people, and innovative youth activities.

VISION 2013

The 37-page regional plan prescribes a timeframe for measuring our progress and in assessing the impact of our work by determining ow the regional objectives are positively influencing the stakeholders, most especially the young people and the adult volunteers. A support structure is presented to indicate how structures are networked and how efforts are coherent to meet the regional vision for year 2013.

Scouting for Boys

Scouting for Boys, written by Baden-Powell, Founder of the Scout Movement, was first published in 1908. More than ninety years after the first publication, Scouting for Boys is still much in circulation in many languages. The large and growing Scout population in the Asia-Pacific Region prompted the World Scout Bureau to have the book reprinted based largely on the World Brotherhood Edition.
