Official Logo of the 8th Africa Scout Jamboree 2020 Released

The official logo of the 8th Africa Scout Jamboree is now out. The event will take place from 3rd to 12th August 2020 at the Kaazi National Scouts Camping and Training Site in Kampala, Uganda. The primary version of the logo consists of the a grey Crested Crane – Uganda’s national bird, appearing in the country’s colours of black, red and yellow on a white background. The World Scout Emblem appears in purple to signify its an official event of the region. The name of the event also appears in both, English and French – the official languages of the region.

The Africa Scout Jamboree is the largest regular event organized by the Africa Scout Region, gathering thousands of young people from all over Africa and the world. It is an educational event to promote education, peace and understanding. The Jamboree includes a wide variety of activities and also places great importance on the everyday life and interaction on the campsite.

 

The Uganda Scouts Association with support of the World Scout Bureau Africa Support Centre is making preparations to host over 2,000 participants aged 11-17 years from Africa and beyond. More information will be made available soon on the official jamboree website: www.scout.org/africajamboree
