D-100 days before the launch of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP 21 that will take place from 30 November to 11 December in Paris, France. The UNFCCC COP is one of the most important opportunities for young people to do ‘noises’ alerting the global community against the Climate Change and its consequences. Indeed, the youth are not only citizens of today but of tomorrow, however, to have ‘good’ tomorrow, we should have ‘good’ youth of today by involving them in such high level engaging events. Since, it has been accredited organization with the UN, the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) has engaged strongly and actively by participating in different COPs, not only to mark its participation but to point out the problem and to find solutions at its educational level. So, the different COPs that WOSM took part in are: • COP 15 in Copenhagen, 2009 • COP 17 in Mexico, 2011 • COP 18 in Doha, 2012 • COP 20 in Lima, 2014 Again, WOSM will not miss this crucial event in autumn 2015 in Paris. The Circular N15/2015 was circulated to all National Scout Organisations (NSOs) to encourage their members and join the WOSM delegation representing the World Scouting in debates, round tables, discussions and side events during COP21. This year, the WOSM’s appearance in COP21 will be remarkable, due to a global project, called Scout Go Solar, that was launched at 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Japan (read more http://scout.org/wsj2015/content/92836) and of course the famous programmes: The Scouts of the world, the World Scout Environment Programme and the Messenger of Peace are also opportunities to show the commitment of Scouts to deal with Climate Change and act positively for the renewable energy mainly the Solar energy
