This project was made under the support and assistance through the Messengers of Peace support fund for the Typhoon Haiyan as one of the Rebuilding Projects and Initiatives by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines in the Eastern Visayas Region, which is the mostly affected provinces and cities are located. The project was spearheaded by BSP Acting Secretary General Atty. Wendel E. Avisado as Project Leader and also one of the APR Regional Scout Committee members. He was ably assisted by the Easter Visayas Regional Scout Director Bienvenido B. Toledo together with all the Council Scout Executives in the Region, specifically the Cebu Council, BSP; Leyte Council, BSP; Biliran Council, BSP; Bohol Council, BSP; Calbayog Council, BSP; Eastern Samar Council, BSP; Negros Oriental Council, BSP; Tacloban City Council, BSP; Siquijor Council, BSP; Southern Leyte Council, BSP; Samar Council, BSP; and the Northern Samar Council, BSP.

The project includes distribution of Learning Kits and School Supplies for the school children in several schools in various provinces in the Region such as the Fishermen Village Elementary School (300 pupils); Anibong Elem. School (300 pupils); Sangkahan National High School (300 students) in Tacloban City Division. Mercedes Central Elem. School (300 pupils) in Eastern Samar; Nueva Vista Elem. School (300 pupils) and Milagro Elem. School (300 pupils) in Ormoc City Division. Binungtan Elem. School (300 pupils) and Can-Abay Elem School (300 pupils) in Samar Division. San Fernando, San Joaquin, San Roque, Sto. Nino and San Jose Elementary Schools with 300 pupils each under Leyte Division and the Cebu Division - Daanbantayan with 565 pupils for Bitoon Elem School and 485 pupils at Paypay Elem. School.
