World Forestry Day - 500 Mangrove Trees Planting

This trees planting project was organized by Scout of The World Voluntary Service Team, supported by 1Malaysia for Youth (iM4U) in-conjunction with World Forestry Day on 21 - 22 March 2015 at Small Mangrove Education Centre.

21 March 2015
Scouts of The World Voluntary Service Team had started preparation at Small Mangrove Education Centre. We loading and unloading mangrove tree from seedling site to planting site. After that we clean up the bushes in the planting site and also do some measurement on arranging the distance of each mangrove tree planting for tomorrow.

22 March 2015
Total 150 scouts had gather at Small Mangrove Education Centre to join this mangrove trees planting program. They are divided into 3 groups and each group lead by 2 members from Scouts of The World Voluntary Service Team. A short briefing was given to all the participants before they start to move inside the mangrove forest. Participants were enjoyed the planting experience.
