Scouts in Pakistan say NO to plastic
Scouts across Pakistan say no to plastic as they learned about plastic pollution and how they can take part in activities that will help resolve issues related to plastic waste, and plastic pollution.
The discussion on Tide Turners Challenge and Scouts for SDGs at the local level was one of the highlights of the National Integration Camp, at the Ancient Fort Derawar, in Punjab, on 10 – 15 February 2021.
“The overall experience was enriching because the main objective of this camp is to bring Scouts from all over Pakistan and teach them about these new global initiatives, and become agents of change in their own community, said Talat Jehan,Deputy Secretary and Project Manager, Balochistan Boy Scouts Association provincial headquarters.
Mr Jehan admitted that seeing them (Scouts) excited to be part of something positive, is such a rewarding experience as a leader.
While they discovered a lot from the training, Scouts also learn much about their history as they visited different historical places toured around ancient Fort Derawar, Bahawalpur, in Punjab, and got to obtain the Patrimonito Scout Badge too.
