Enhancing Literacy of Brother’s Language - Project conducted by Sri Lanka Scout Association

1st stage of “Enhancing Literacy of Brother’s Language” , a project conducted by Sri Lanka Scout Association under the guidance of Messenger of Peace initiative of World Organization of Scout Movement will be held on 15th to 19th of February 2019 at Nagadeepa Maha Vidyalaya with the Participation of 50 Scouts from Jaffna and 50 Scouts from Matara, Sri Lanka. 

 

Main objective of the Project is to overcome inter religious and intercultural misunderstandings and misperceptions, which were the effects of 30 years of civil war, by improving language and communication skills among scouts from Northern and Southern parts of the country.

 

1st stake holders meeting was held successfully on 1st of February at Northern Provincial Department of Education - Jaffna with the participation of Secretary to the honorable governor, Directors of  Northern Provincial Department of Education, Officers from Security forces and Police, Representatives from National Scout Head Quarters of Sri Lanka Scout Association and Jaffna District Branch.
