The Pakistan Boy Scout Association (PBSA) became the 5th country supported by the Messengers of Peace (MoP) this year by hosting MoP Team-Pakistan Gathering in Islamabad on 7-11 December 2014.

The Gathering helped in the promotion and globalization of MoP network in the Asia-Pacific Region. Participants were mainly Rover Scouts and adult leaders representing 7 out of 10 branch provincial associations in Pakistan.

World Scout Bureau/Asia-Pacific Development Support Manager Uzair Kamal and Boy Scouts of the Philippines Deputy National Programme Commissioner for Community-Based Scouting Mr Bernardo de Leon assisted workshop director Mr. Muhammad Shuaib facilitating the workshop. PBSA Chief Commissioner Mr Abdul Karim Baloch was the chief guest at the opening.

Prior to the gathering, PBSA organized five-day strategic review workshop, in Islamabad from 1-5 December 2014 reviewing what strategy and direction to take in the future.

Special guest at the opening was Ms. Helga Ahmad, a well-known philanthropist and social worker in Pakistan who highlighted the work of Scouts and the positive role of Scouting in society. Participants of the workshop represented seven Scouting provinces all over the country who were mainly leaders of the branch associations.

Mr Sahibzada Sajjad Masood Chishti directed the workshop.
