Commitment gets things going
Commitment is a keyword at the ongoing National Strategic Planning Workshop at the International Youth Centre, Kuala Lumpur, from 17 to 21 November 2014. Chief Scout of Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia (PPM) Tan Sri Dr. Haji Shafie bin Haji Mohd Salleh, said in his speech that commitment could be ascribed as having good communication with God and with others.
On the same note, World Scout Bureau/Asia-Pacific Regional Director JR C. Pangilinan quoted Peter F. Drucker, “unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes, but no plans. Therefore, let there be commitment to implement whatever we will plan for the future of Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia.”
The Chief Scout said that strategic planning does not have to invent new things, it could adopt what is relevant and what is necessary. What remains constant in strategic planning is the core business of Scouting, which is young people
A total of 20 key leaders are working together to draft the strategic plan of PPM.
