Safe from Harm is a set of actions designed to make sure that every person involved in Scouting is responsible and committed to protect children and young people inside or outside the Movement, so everyone can feel safe, at any time.
Here you can find online trainings to better help you to understand and to practice Safe From Harm.
For over 100 years, Scouting’s successful existence has been based on the fact that it has taken responsibility to provide a safe environment for children and young people, to support their development. The relationship between youth members and adult leaders proposed by Baden-Powell and the focus on leader training have been key pillars that help Scouting retain its attractiveness to young people and retain quality and consistency in the Movement.
In several countries WOSM has been a pioneer in this field and has many examples of contributing to improving policy and practice in other youth organizations, and in some cases pushing their governments to take action for the safety of young people.
