Rehabilitation of shelters

Rehabilitation of shelters is part of the MoP Project, "Re-Building the lives of Scout families, affected by Typhoon Haiyan." This is to initiate major repairs and rehabilitate shelters of four (4) selected Scout families.

Instead of four (4) shelters, the project provided necessary funds to initiate repairs and rehabilitate shelters of the following selected five (5) Scout families. The homes of the five (5) selected Scout families were rehabilitated and there are now in better living conditions.

Marvin M. Nicer, the Council Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Leyte Council gratefully declares, "I am very glad that I was given a financial assistance from the World Scout Bureau – Asia-Pacific Regional Support Centre through the leadership of Regional Director J. Rizal C. Pangilinan to help me rebuild our house that was damaged by the mega Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). The financial assistance was able to purchase materials and paint needed in the house repair, while a part was used to pay the salary of the workers. My family are now safe and comfortable to stay in our newly repaired house. I truly believe that the Scout is helpful and a true brotherhood to all. So to all the benefactors of the World Scout Foundation, me and my family are very privileged that we have generous scout friends who help us to live again and continue life that was once destroyed by the mega Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). Thank you very much and mabuhay!
