When looking at the proposed Triennial Plan, we focused on two areas: the Youth Engagement and Social Impact. We believe it is important that youth are actively engaged in the decision-making process at regional and world levels. One of the statements that is phrased “strive towards” we believe has less impact and decided to rephrase it into something more driven. We further asked the World Scout Committee to develop a more efficient method of youth engagement in the decision making process. We feel strongly that Scouting has the opportunity to effect good in the world, and that means going beyond our organizational bubble by impacting our communities. This is why we are focused on developing the advocacy aspect of our Movement.
