HASK’s Yerevan Campsite Hosted the Candidates of the 2nd Rank Scout Knowledge

29. Abr 2014

On April 27 nearly 70 scouts participated in the exam of the 2nd rank scout knowledge at HASK’s Yerevan Campsite. Davit Hakobyan, member of the Central Board of the National Scout Movement of Armenia “HASK”, welcomed the attendees on behalf of the Central Board. Gevorg Gasparyan, HASK Chief scout, wished the participants success and emphasized the importance of showing their knowledge with minimum tension and omissions.

The Scoutmasters’ Council of HASK had prepared both theoretical and practical tasks. The practical part of the exam included using maps and compasses, axe, knife and saw, as well as building a camp fire, setting up a tent, measuring distance and height etc. In the frame of the theoretical part the candidates wrote down their knowledge and ideas on the given topic, as well as described what scouting has given to each of them.

The Scoutmasters’ Council has a lot to do- it must check the works of the candidates and give marks. The succeeded candidates will later be granted their rank in May, in Sardarapat. As a result they will elevate themselves and others with them.
