ADD YOUR VOICE
BIG OR SMALL – EVERYONE HAS A ROLE TO PLAY
Earth hour is one of the biggest global environment campaigns that have received great response from the people the world over. From its beginning in one city in one country – Sydney, Scouts from Asia Pacific Region and other parts of the world has always been its supporters and today it has grown to the millions of people around the world. Its aim is to largely create environmental awareness – to get us doing the little things that could bring about huge and positive changes for our environment.
Earth Hour is a World Wide Fund (WWF) initiative symbolizing the collective power of individuals, businesses, and government to reduce our impact on this planet. For this year, Scouts are taking every challenge and inspire friends, family, colleagues and even communities in a fun and creative way: to give little greener in their everyday lives.
Global warming is a greatest threat we have ever faced but we can make a difference if we can act together. Join Earth hour; switch off for sixty minutes on March 29 to stop global warming and join the millions across the planet who are fighting climate change and to raise their voice against the climate change.
SCOUT CHALLENGE FOR EARTH HOUR 2014
At 8.30 pm March 29, Scouts around the world will join once again to celebrate earth hour 2014 by switching off their lights for an hour, and even going beyond the hour.
This year's massage and challenge for Scouts is
“Striving to do more than turn your lights off on March 29th’’
where every Scout on earth, individually and as a team pledges to perform environmentally sustainable action for the year following the earth hour campaign.
