The 4th Cuboree Event

Our troop hosted our bi-yearly event - the 4th Kulai Cuboree. In conjunction with the effort on our MOP theme-Treasure Our River, we had created station games that were related to water or river in hopping to bring out the awareness of river as part of the environmental issues.
Four hundred and seventy cub scouts coming 15 primary schools and scouts forming service team representing 12 secondary schools mainly from Kulai and JB districts were experiencing games such as walking through a log that filled with water underneath in which they were put to a situation where a flooding situation was taking place.
For the scout’s traditional Kim’s Game, common trash items were submerge into muddy water for cub scouts to feel and touch by their hands to indicate our clean source of water was degraded due to all these avoidable human factor.
In the end, both cub scouts and the service team were all having a wonderful experience and awareness of our fragile environment at the same time.
