Messengers of Peace Information Activity - Enduro 2016 (State Cub Scout Event)
Messengers of Peace has now been given specific requirements in Australia, and is being rolled out across the country. In Western Australia, the WA International Team ran an activity base during the 'Market Day' event at Enduro 2016 - a mini-jamboree for Cub Scouts.
Cub Scouts were able to learn how to tie a Friendship Knot, and pay with event money (Enduro Dollars) to buy an instruction card to remember how to do this know. Other goods and services that Cubs could buy during Market Day included fairy bread, sherbet, wristbands, and more.
Information booklets for Den Leaders and Cub Leaders were available, so that these Leaders can take this knowledge back to their Packs and run Messengers of Peace Activities back at their local Groups. 100 brand new Messengers of Peace Badges were also handed out to the Cubs and Leaders after doing a mini MOP learning activity, where the participants discussed and made plans on how they can help create a better world and help other people.
