Safety First - A seminar by Malaysian NCOSH for rovers!

An interesting project, a safety seminar for Malaysian University Rovers!
FIRST of a kind in Malaysia. This seminar is one the Malaysian NBOS (National Blue Ocean Strategy) initiatives organised for NCOSH (National Council of Occupational Safety & Health), Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) Federal Territories & KL with the collaboration of KLKM (University Rovers Training Group) & University of Malaya (UM).

The seminar was officiated by Deputy Minister of Human Resources Dato Sri Hj Ismail bin Haji Abd Muttalib. Also present were the Chief Scout of Malaysia Tan Sri Dato Seri Paduka Dr Hj Shafie Mohd Salleh, Chief Commissioner Maj. Gen. Prof Dato Dr Hj Mohd Zin Bidin & KLKM CSC Assoc Prof Dr Abdul Rashid Mohamad.

This seminar aims is to create awareness & instill safety thinking in all activities, a part of risk management program for young people. It is hope that this thinking permeates to the scouts & venturers thru the rovers.

It was a huge success with 450 participants from throughout Malaysia. It is a lot of hard work, many have contributed to the success. A salute to all!!
As I am in a multiple roles in UM....serving as Seminar Logistics committee member, UM OSH officer and also ADC KLKM UM, I will take the opportunity from my bottom of my heart to say a BIG THANK YOU to all those who have contributed to this project.

Think safe,
Be safe,
Have fun,
Happy always,
Service for all,
Be a Messenger of Peace...
PEACE STARTS WITH ME :-)
