JOTA-JOTI - 60 years of connecting Scouts worldwide

Cub Scouts, Boy and Girl Scouts, Rovers and Venturers from all over the world had an awesome JOTA-JOTI last weekend.

This year, JOTA celebrates its 60th year of connecting Scouts. It brought together over 12,000 groups from the Africa, Arab, Asia-Pacific, Eurasia, European and Interamerican Scout Regions that took part in various JOTA games and challenges.

The World Scout Bureau station in Kuala Lumpur drew more than 300 Malaysian Scouts who joined activities on the air, online and onsite!

For many young people, the experience of communicating and engaging with fellow Scouts from different parts of the world using technology was a fun and exciting learning experience.

As JOTI enters its 21st year, the number of Scouts signing up for JOTI continue to rise. They had a great time interacting with their peers via ScoutLink, Skype, social media messengers and IRC Chat, had lively discussions at the Campfire sessions and definitely enjoyed JamPuz, Minecraft and other online games and challenges!

Through JOTI TV and Radio, young people were able to tune in to programmes and games as well.

Did you have wonderful JOTA-JOTI? Don’t forget to send your photos, videos and Scout stories to your National JOTA-JOTI coordinator!
