First South Calcutta Scout Group is almost the oldest Group in The Bharat Scouts & Guides in Local Level, running from 1916. The Bharat Scouts & Guides is a National Level Voluntary Organization devoted to character building of Youth in India and promoting in them the feeling of selfless service to the country. The President of India, Mr. Ramnath Kovind is the Chief Patron of The Bharat Scouts & Guides.
