APR Messengers of Peace Conference
We are pleased to inform you that the Messengers of Peace Program is completing its 10th anniversary this year 2021.
Aligned with our Mission, Vision, and purpose, the Messengers of Peace (MoP) was launched in 2011 as a continuation of the Gifts for Peace to celebrate the centenary year 2007. Messenger of Peace continues to promote a culture of peace and dialogue for mutual understanding, promote social entrepreneur initiatives led by Scouts, support the development of young people affected by conflict situations, and connect Scouts around the world in a global network of Messengers of Peace.
In line with this, the Asia-Pacific Region Messengers of Peace Team is organizing a virtual Asia Pacific Messengers of Peace Conference to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contribution made by Scouts in their respective communities.
The MOP Conference aims to gather all active Messengers of Peace for a fellowship and share their accomplishments with the following objectives :
- Identify the accomplishment of MoP in the decade (2011-2021)
- Explain the impact of MoP program in different countries
- Describe the good practices established in NSOs on the MoP programme
- Identify and submit proposals for NSO/WSB actions to further promote MoP
- Plan for the next decade
