The Fit India Freedom Run Marathon race was organized by District Youth Services and Sports Department and The Bharat Scouts and Guides on Friday under the Fit India Campaign.
District Sports Officer Swaran Singh flagged off the Freedom Run Marathon as the chief guest. Children, youth and elders all participated in this race. The Marathon concluded by reaching the Mini Stadium via Hospital Road Ramnagar Chowk, Main Bazaar, Gol Market. Around 200 people took part in this three-kilometer long race, in which employees, senior citizens, students, scouts and guides, policemen and others took part.
On this occasion, the district sports officials said that Sports keep a person physically and mentally healthy. He said that the simple way to stay healthy is to do regular exercise or yoga.Any person can stay fit by adopting any sport according to his convenience and interest.Anil Sharma, Veena Sharma and others were present on the occasion.
