A plantation program was organized at Drona Boys Hostel on behalf of Bharat Scout and Guide, District Udhampur. During this time dozens of plants of different species were planted. The campaign was attended by Scout Master Amardev Singh, Rakesh Sharma, Ved Kumar, Jagdev Singh, Army Officials, Hostel Children and Hostel warden, staff and teachers. All emphasized conservation of plants.
The plantation program was started by the Hostel officials. Scout Master Amar Dev Singh said that maximum number of saplings should be planted for environmental protection. He also stressed on giving the message of environmental protection to the society, even from children. Members present there planted dozens of broad-leaf and multi-species species. Scout master Ved Kumar said that it is necessary to plant more and more plants for environmental protection. He said that plantation is being done by Bharat Scouts and Guides under the 'Green Resolution' campaign. This is an exemplary work.
Scout Master Rakesh Sharma, associated with the Green Sankalp Abhiyan, said that under the campaign, the common man is being motivated for plantation and conservation at various places every day starting from 10 July till 24 August. Officials of the same hostel praised the campaign being run by Bharat Scouts and Guides and emphasized on organizing such programs to prevent the effects of environmental pollution and global warming.
