32nd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree - 2021
We are pleased to inform you that Bangladesh Scouts will host the 32nd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree. This was a decision of the 25th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference held in Korea in 2015.
The Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree is being organised as a major Scouting event of the region. This is aimed at giving additional opportunity to young people, between the ages of 12 – 17 years old, to take part in such an event at least once in her/his lifetime as a Scout.
Basic information of the Jamboree are, as follows:
Date: 11-19 December 2021. Participants are requested to arrive on the Jamboree ground on 11th December 2021 before 5:00PM and may depart after breakfast of 19th December 2021.
Venue: Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The Jamboree site is 440 km from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
Your contingent can reach the Jamboree Site by road (airconditioned buses). It will take 10 hours from Shah Jalal International Airport (DAC); five hours from Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP); and one hour from Cox’s Bazar Airport (CXB).
Dometic flights are avaiable from Shah Jalal International Airport (DAC) to Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP); and to Cox’s Bazar Airport (CXB).
Your contingent can also reach the Jamboree site by train. It will take six hours from Dhaka to Chittagong and then another five hours from Chittagong to the Jamboree Site.
The host will be happy to arrange the inland transportation to the Jamboree site, on behalf of your contingent, at actual cost.
Theme: “Sabash... a fountain of energy.”
Sabash is a Bengali word and in English it means WELL DONE. Scouts always do good turns. This theme has been chosen to encourage the Scouts to do more good turns with a fountain of energy.
Eligibility: Male and female Scouts aged 12 to 17 years old at the start of the Jamboree are eligible to take part in the 32nd APR Scout Jamboree as participants.
In this Jamboree, a Scout Troop will consist of four patrols, with nine Scouts in each patrol and an adult leader. Therefore, a Scout Troop will consist of 36 Scouts with four adult leaders.
Youth Particpants, Unit Leaders and members of the International Service Team (IST): USD 250.00.
The Jamboiree Fee includes meals – starting from dinner of 11th December up to beakfast of 19th December while the meals for the ISTs shall start from lunch breakfast of 10th December lunch and end with 20 December breakfast.
The fee will also include name tag, event scarf, programme guide, first aid and participation in the Jamboree programme.
Programme Highlight: Climate Awareness, Ethnic Culture, Mother Language, Discovering Nature, Pioneering, Off-site Camp-in-Camp, Sustainable Development Village (SDV), Camp Fire, Home Hospitality.
