Introduction
THERE ARE CURRENTLY AROUND 5 MILLION OF ADULTS IN SCOUTING
Scouting would not have existed around the world without the millions of adults, the majority of them volunteers, who support the Movement by performing a wide range of roles or functions.
WHO ARE ADULTS IN SCOUTING
When referring to adults in Scouting, we have in mind those who:
- design, develop, facilitate, or deliver programmes
- work directly with adults in management, leadership, training, and support roles and functions
- establish and operate organisational structures, delivering the necessary logistical, financial, and administrative support

ADULT LIFE CYCLE
The adult life cycle highlights all aspects of the management of adults in the Movement and includes recruiting the adults we need, supporting them in their performance and development, assisting them in making decisions for their future.
Click on each stage of the Life cycle and explore what is stage about, what should NSO do and why this stage is important for the adults.
