Relief material distribution- Terai Flood 2017

A massive flood occurred in August of 2017 in most of the places of Terai region of Nepal. More than 1.7 million people were affected. Different donations camps were conducted. Among them, the most effective was the donation program conducted through the scouts. We collected about $1,000 for the flood victims from different scouts and schools of Pokhara. A group of six scouts and a scoutmaster was made to distribute the donation amount in form of relief materials. We traveled to Biratnagar, 18 hours on the bus. At Biratnagar, we were assisted by Morang scouts to distribute the relief materials. We visited three different schools of Morang District and helped more than 600 students.
This was a small effort from a group of scouts to establish peace and help the affected children from the Terai Flood.
