Day 1 - 6th Conference of Eurasia Scout Region
On the first day of the Conference the main discussions were about the upcoming Jamborees and Conferences. The first presentation was about the 41st World Scout Conference and the 13th World Youth Forum which are going to be held in Azerbaijan (Baku and Gabala) in 2017. Detailed information was given about the venue of the events and the programs to be practiced. The next presentation was from the North American delegation (Mexico, USA and Canada) and was about the 24th World Scout Jamboree to be hold in West Virginia in 2019. (from July 22 to August 2) The theme of the jamboree is “Unlock a New World” and its main goal is to build friendships, experience new adventures, cultural exchanges and many more. The Eurasian regional scout committee delegation presented the 15th World Scout Moot, in 2017, entitled “Change” inspired by Iceland. The audience was introduced to the very inspiring theme song. The next presentation was Introduction to Rovery by Mark Krebell from the United States’ boy scouts. He talked about Rovery International and its influence on the World’s scouts. It was founded in 1905 in Chicago, Illinois and its founder, Paul Harros was awarded in 1939. Rovery international is found in 200 geographical areas worldwide, it is known as being the foundation of many scouts and allows members to participate in major scout events. He also mentioned the Rovary Youth Exchange program, which allows students to exchange lives with others and guide them to an exciting future.
The conference ended with a brief video summarizing the Excelscout evolution on a timeline.
