Empowering Adults – Empowering Scouting

Project has 3 specific objectives:
1. Develop a dynamic National Training System that is responsive to the needs of Adults in Scouting and to the Youth Programme adopted and implemented by Scouts of Georgia;
2. Develop and promote quality oriented governance and management system in GOSM, meeting the current international standards;
3. Create a pool of trainers, who will provide trainings for the scout leaders on all topics related to the implementation of the Youth Programme.
Some of the key achievements of the project are:
1. Increased GOSM capacity by developing adult leaders;
2. Trained the active scout leaders to better manage the organization on different levels: National, Regional, District and Local;
3. Creating and/or updating internal regulations, policies and practices of GOSM governance and management in compliance with the international best practice;
Trainings in:
1. GOSM training system development workshop;
2. Training for the adult leaders: strategic planning;
3. Training for the adult leaders: fundamental aspects of scouting, Leadership and youth programme implementation;
4. Training for the adult leaders: Management;
5. Training for the adult leaders: Risk management;
6. Training for the adult leaders: ethical principles, child protection, conflict of interests;
7. Training for the adult leaders: working with the youth with special needs;
8. Training for the adult leaders: communication, partnership, stakeholders and advocacy;
9. TOT;
10. Summer camp - “Galaxy”.
