MoP Camp and Road Show
Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Metro Manila East Council launched the activity back dated Sept. 12 - 13, 2015 at Barangay Nangka Marikina City, Where in the host School is Nangka High School.
It was headed by the Metro Manila East Council MoP Team with the support of our Council Officer In Charged Sir Rodrigo V. Adriano and of the School Principal Sir Clay M. Balgua.
This event started as early in the morning with a local community peace parade together with different Scout Leaders and Different Senior Scouts from various secondary public schools in Marikina City.
There are 133 Senior Scouts participated on this event, scouts learned about the Messenger of Peace Initiative Project concerning Peace, Environment, Health, Safety,Social circumstances and on how to create service project, they are also encourage to create an account to scout.org web site.
Different activity has showcased to this MoP Camp these are:
1. Building Bridges - Aims to work cooperatively in groups and to demonstrate and observe different types of leadership
2. Building a Peace Maker Community - Aims to give participants the opportunity to think about and visually represents act of peace making.
3. Peace Web of Strength - This is to encourage cooperation and demonstrate the strength in working together as a team.
4. Taking the right steps for Peace - To recognize the value of team work and collaboration in solving environmental problems.
5. The Peace giving Tree - Aims to promote health and environmental stewardship through peace.
