KAICIID and World Scouting have been working together since 2013 to empower young people to build peace and strengthen dialogue practices through the Dialogue for Peace programme.

The Dialogue for Peace Programme coupled with Messengers of Peace have for many years given young people the opportunity to be changemakers encouraging intercultural and inter-religious dialogue  and contribute to reconciliation amongst diverse social groups in their communities.

Through this partnership, Scouts across different age sections have been able to develop dialogue skills by working to earn a Dialogue Personal Badge, becoming  Dialogue Facilitators or Dialogue Trainers through Dialogue for Peace trainings.

As of June 2020, KAICIID and WOSM together have trained more than 1,000 people from 120 countries.

Areas of cooperation

How NSOs can benefit

WOSM and KAICIID organise Dialogue for Peace trainings for the development of trainers. NSOs will be informed of Dialogue for Peace trainings by World Scout Bureau Regional Support Centres. The Dialogue for Peace fund is available through the Scout Donation Platform to support grassroots initiatives promoting dialogue and mutual understanding.
