APR Medal for Meritorious Contribution to Scouting

The APR Scout Committee awards this “APR Medal for Meritorious Contribution to Scouting” to individuals who have supported the development of Scouting.
The award is given to persons who have made meritorious contributions to support Scouting in any of the following ways at international or national levels:
- Moral, technical support
- Substantial financial contribution
The Award is specifically for those who have not been within the Scout Movement for a long time and also open to all non-members who have given meritorious contributions to support Scouting at international or national level.
Nominations shall be invited from the existing members of the APR Scout Committee including retiring members, Chairman of APR Sub-Committees and International Commissioners of all NSOs in the region and should be submitted to the Awards Committee at least six (6) months before the award presentation date.
The Award medal is a bronze medal incorporating the Asia-Pacific Regional emblem surrounded by silver cross laurels. It is worn around the neck on an orange and purple ribbon.
The medal is accompanied by a certificate and a citation outlining the contributions of the recipient to the Scout Movement and is presented at a Regional event or on occasion when the Regional Chairman or his representative is visiting the awardees’ NSO.
The award shall not be given to more than two persons from a given member-country during a one-year period.
In case of death of the award recipient, posthumous award can be presented/passed on to the members of the family.
