The Africa-Europe Partnership Handbook
This handbook is based on the experiences of the participants of the Unguvu Project and will guide you through the life-cycle of Africa-Europe partnerships in Scouting, exploring the different steps of initiating, planning, managing, executing and evaluating a partnership. The handbook also highlights the opportunities, diffi culties and challenges that may arise and provides advice, case studies and examples on how to manage them. We hope that this handbook will enable you to experience enriching, enjoyable and productive Africa-Europe partnerships either within Scouting or any other youth organisation.Scouting and United Nations
Relations, Partnerships and Initiatives
In 1947, WOSM, along with only 41 other Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), was granted consultative status to the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Today we want our allies to look at the Scout Movement as a credible, trustworthy partner. Besides seeing what Scouts can do at local level in community and development projects, we want our partners to fully value their work with Scout organisations everywhere as an investment in aninfluential, value-based, educational movement, thus as an investment in future responsible, committed citizens and leaders. The Marrakech Charter (Bangalore Revised Edition)
Partnership in Scouting
The Charter encourages the establishment of multilateral partnerships with other Scout associations especially in the same geographical area and calls for active cooperation with entities external to the Scout Movement.Guidelines on Partnership
