The Executive Directors of the World Scout Bureau – the six Regional Directors and the two Executive Directors in the Central Office – under the leadership of the Chief Operating Officer and the Secretary General, had their biannual meeting in Cartigny, Switzerland from 7 to 11 May 2012. The Executive Directors’ Meeting is a key occasion for the top management of WOSM to meet, discuss and plan their actions for the coming months. It is important to have this chance to get together at least twice a year to address the key issues.
The first Messengers of Peace Network training started yesterday in Singapore with an informal dinner hosted by The Singapore Scout Association. This morning an opening ceremony was held to welcome the 60 participants from 35 countries who will be trained over the next three days. The goal of the training is to create online community leaders for the Messengers of Peace Network. The participants of this training will form part of a nucleus of community leaders who will help kick start the momentum for the MoP Global Network.

With the presence of over 100 participants in the Scout House of Paraguay,it began the implementation of the recently modified Social Statute, where is highlighted the representativeness of the youth and parents of scouts who are able to vote in the National Assembly.
The Scout Association of Venezuela hosted the Second Meeting of the Andean subregion of the Youth Program Network. From 27 to 29 of february, 2012, representatives of National Scout Organizations from Colombia, Ecuador and the host Venezuela, worked with the Youth Programme Director of the World Scout Bureau - Interamerican Region in the analysis of topics of vital importance for the development of the Youth Program of the Region.
