This years Agora took place from the 10th to the 14th of April in Kandersteg, Switzerland. Agora, meaning a meeting place, It is an annual event, hosted by the European Scout Region which gathers Rovers from all around Europe to come together and discuss all things Rover and much more. It is a unique event as it is run by Rovers for Rovers.

The weekend of 5 to 7 April 2013 was designated to the European Scout Symposium when the European Region would meet, review progress on its current Regional Plan, consider the impact of World issues, contributions from other Regions and other partners organisations so that they could make initial proposals for the next Regional Scout Plan.

As in previous years, a full, comprehensive overview of seminars and events – with supporting documentation on aims and objectives – will be distributed in the new year and, of course individual invitations to the events will be distributed at the appropriate time on www.europak-online.net.

The Training in Diversity “Minorities + Youth Organisations = Inclusion?” is supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and will take place in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, 5 – 10 June 2013.

This is the tenth in the series of Euro-Arab meetings which have developed from being institutional meetings between the Arab and European Regions of WOSM more to be a real sharing of experiences, knowledge and projects between representatives of the National Scout Organisations of the two regions. 10th Euro-Arab Meeting will be held in Rome between 26-30 June 2013.

It is our great pleasure to introduce this Annual Report of the European Scout Committee’s work covering the period July 2010 to July 2011.

In the report, you can have a look back at the progress made since the 20th European Scout Conference in Brussels, Belgium, covering both the successes and challenges. As well as providing perspectives from the European Scout Committee, the European Regional Office and the European Scout Foundation, for the first time in the Annual Report of the European Scout Committee we have updates from our five Working Groups and three Core Groups.

The European Scout Region has made available a basic registration software system originally developed by Lietuvos Skautija, Lithuanian Scouting. The system is free for National Scout Organisations who are interested in using it.

Here you will find information on over 200 national Scout centres throughout Europe: places which can host you and your group, either in buildings or in tents, and which can also provide you with assistance (and usually material) to help you organize your camp activities. Notes - Application Form
