3rd APR Unit Leaders Roundtable held in the Philippines
Having known the fact that Scout leaders at the unit level have a pivotal role in the actual demonstration of Scouting’s educational objectives, 29 Unit Leaders from 11 countries attended the APR Unit Leaders Roundtable from 5-8 June in Tarlac City, Philippines.
Participants who shared ideas on youth programme and identified strategies for its improvement as well as formulated a criteria for a model Scout unit were from Bhutan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Maldives, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
This has been the third regional roundtable in six years, the first one was in Hong Kong in 2001, followed by Bangladesh in 2004.
