Executive Directors of the World Scout Bureau meet in Cartigny
The Executive Directors of the World Scout Bureau – the six Regional Directors and the two Executive Directors in the Central Office – under the leadership of the Chief Operating Officer and the Secretary General, had their biannual meeting in Cartigny, Switzerland from 7 to 11 May 2012. The Executive Directors’ Meeting is a key occasion for the top management of WOSM to meet, discuss and plan their actions for the coming months. It is important to have this chance to get together at least twice a year to address the key issues.
The meeting provides all the Regional Directors an opportunity to bring in their diverse experiences from their Regions to seek and/or provide support to each other. For the Secretary General, the Chief Operating Officer and the Executive Directors of the Central Office, this forms a cardinal part of their coordination efforts, and helps everyone to come to an agreement on key priorities for the upcoming six months.
The meeting in May was also an important opportunity for the newly appointed Central Office senior management staff members, Aidan Jones – the COO, and Göran Hägerdal – the Executive Director, Strategy and Education to induct themselves in the processes.
