38th World Scout Conference
The 38th World Scout Conference will be held on Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, from Monday 14 to Friday 18 July 2008. The Korea Scout Association, the National Scout Organization of the Republic of Korea, will host this Conference. They have formed a very good team in Seoul, where the headquarters of the Organization are located, and are enthusiastically preparing for the Conference.
Conference Documents will all be made available in due time before the event. Here you can download them in PDF format.
The World Scout Committee has decided that the Conference will focus on the Strategy for Scouting as a means to fulfil the Mission of Scouting. The official theme, as chosen by the World Scout Committee at its March 2007 meeting, is “Creating a better world”.
People may attend the World Scout Conference as either a Delegate, Observer, or as part of the Accompanying Person's Programme. Here you can find out more information on each level of participation.
The Conference fee for delegates and observers covers conference facilities, all official documentation, lunches from Monday to Friday, coffee breaks, the opening dinner and farewell banquet, social activities and special events organised by the Korean hosts, as well as transport from Jeju International Airport to the hotels and back, to programme events, and to and from the Conference Centre.
