Pakistan hosts the APR Youth Programme Workshop

The capital city of Pakistan served as the gathering point as 28 Scout Leaders from different countries took part in the Asia-Pacific Regional Youth Programme Development held from 10th to 14th of December 2007.

The workshop, hosted by Pakistan Boy Scouts Association (PBSA), got the participation of 28 Scout Leaders from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and from the Girl Guides.

For five days of discussion and sharing, the workshop provided an opportunity for the participants to know technical process of developing a Youth Programme and enabled them to identify the major needs and expectation of young people which is a vital aspect of youth programme.

Regional Scout Committee member Syed Pervez Ali Shah Jillani attended the opening ceremony. With the support of APR Programme Sub-Committee Chairman Alfian Amura, member Dr Prapatpong Senarith, APR office representatives Syd Castillo and Thian Hiong-Boon, APR Programme Sub-Committee member Mr Aftab Qureshi of Pakistan, directed the workshop effectively.
